Basset Hounds grabando...

Gstaad Basset Hounds are recording a new album. Its possible title is "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Though it will have some experimental tracks, it will be in a more melodic way, than the ones which appeared in "Vacaciones en Gstaad", where experimentation took a different way (the exploration of timbre, for example). But the tone of the album  will be highly oriented to the blues and it will also include some covers such as "Girl From the North Country" by Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" by The Kinks and Jesus Chariot, a traditional song which was performed by Neil Young.

Gstaad Basset Hounds están grabando un Nuevo album, cuyo possible título será "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Aunque contará con algunos tracks experimentales, serán éstos de corte más melódico que los incluidos en "Vacaciones en Gstaad", en donde la experimentación pasaba por otros caminos (lo tímbrico, por ejemplo). Pero el tono general del album estará bastante ligado al blues y también incluirá algunos covers como "Girl From the North Country" d Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" de The Kinks y Jesus Chariot, un tema tradicional que ha sido interpretado por Neil Young.

Circuit Bending

A couple of toys that I circuit bent to be used as instruments. The phone was used in the song "the quest" from "Vacaciones en Gstaad". Though I played a little with he spider-man walkie-talkie, It is still anxious to enter in action.

Un par de juguetes circuitbendeados por mí, para ser usados como instrumentos. El teléfono fue usado en el tema "The Quest" de "Vacaciones en Gstaad". Aunque me divertí un poco con el walkie-talkie de spider-man, este isntrumento todavía espera ansiosamente entrar en acción.

As we remember "Vacaciones en Gstaad" , I want to share with you the steps that evolved in the cover art.

Vacaciones en Gstaad - Gstaad Basset Hounds' Album

While we work in our second álbum, that will be oriented to blues and rock, with a couple of covers, I´d like to share with you the first one, Vacaciones en Gstaad, that is very different in mood. It is an experimental oriented album with a long record that opens the work. There you´ll find radio interferences, distorted voices, screaming guitars, circuit bending, etc.

The album also features four more songs, two of them electronic pieces with arab influences, and also features a blues cover of Thelonius Monk’s classic Blue Monk. You can download it for free  following the link:

Mientras trabajamos en nuestro segundo álbum, que estará enfocado en el blues y el rock, con un par de covers, me gustaría compartir con ustedes el primero, Vacaciones en Gstaad, que es bastante diferente. Está orientado hacia lo experimental con un tema bastante largo que abre el trabajo. Allí encontrarán interferencias de radio, voces distorsionadas, guitarras salvajes, circuit bending, etc.
