Fragments of Michelle

I recorded this short fragment of an arrangement I am making of Beatles' Classic song, Michelle. I´m testing a mic and some FXs. So I am uploading two versions, a dry one and a wet one, so you can compare them. The wet one includes compression, reverb, EQ and limiter.

Grabé un fragmento de un arreglo que estoy haciendo del clásico de los Beatles, Michelle. Estoy testeando un micrófono y algunos FX, así que posteo dos versiones, para que puedan comparar, una versión seca y una procesada. En ésta última agregué compresión, reverb, EQ y un limitador.

Jamming with Franco and Kazuo

Yesterday jam with Kazuo Miyahira (Didgeridoo and Bass) and Franco Devizia (Guitar and vocals). I played the alto sax, and for a while nylon guitar and tin whistle. We played some tunes by Dylan, Hendrix and King Crimson and jammed some experimental stuff for a while. It was a very pleasant evening!

Jam de ayer con Kazuo Miyahira (Didgeridoo y bajo) y Franco Devizia (Guitarra y voces). Yo toqué el saxo alto y también la guitarra y el tin whistle. Tocamos temas de Dylan, Hendrix y King Crimson e improvisamos algunas cosas experimentales también. ¡Fue una tarde muy productiva y reconfortante!

Bocetando la portada

While we work on "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico", I begun sketching the cover art. Of course a Sabretooth will be featured in it. This is my first approach, but I still will be working on it.

Mientras trabajamos en "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico", comencé a bocetar el arte de portada. Como es obvio, un tigre dientes de sable aparecerá en ella. Ésta es mi primera aproximación, pero voy a seguir trabajando en el asunto.

Basset Hounds grabando...

Gstaad Basset Hounds are recording a new album. Its possible title is "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Though it will have some experimental tracks, it will be in a more melodic way, than the ones which appeared in "Vacaciones en Gstaad", where experimentation took a different way (the exploration of timbre, for example). But the tone of the album  will be highly oriented to the blues and it will also include some covers such as "Girl From the North Country" by Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" by The Kinks and Jesus Chariot, a traditional song which was performed by Neil Young.

Gstaad Basset Hounds están grabando un Nuevo album, cuyo possible título será "El Esmilodonte Asimétrico". Aunque contará con algunos tracks experimentales, serán éstos de corte más melódico que los incluidos en "Vacaciones en Gstaad", en donde la experimentación pasaba por otros caminos (lo tímbrico, por ejemplo). Pero el tono general del album estará bastante ligado al blues y también incluirá algunos covers como "Girl From the North Country" d Bob Dylan, "All Day and All of the Night" de The Kinks y Jesus Chariot, un tema tradicional que ha sido interpretado por Neil Young.
